Call to Artists: Sculpture - Northeast Public Art Initiative

Northeast Calgary is such a beautiful quadrant of the city, and it’s important for northeast Calgarians to be represented in the art that’s created for these neighbourhoods. The City of Calgary is looking for submissions from artists who are typically underrepresented when it comes to City public art projects. These artists could include BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) individuals, LGBTQ2S+ identifying individuals, francophone, deaf persons and persons with disabilities.

This is the second of several calls to artists for the northeast public art initiative. Further opportunities are still to come and will be released on our opportunities for artists page and in our monthly public art newsletter.

There are 2 free info sessions coming up, please register for anyone that fits your schedule and you will be getting more information on this project:

Friday, May 20 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Friday, June 3 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
