Building Enough For All Futures
LEt’s Make A zine!
On August 18, we got a chance to collaborate with Vibrant Communities of Calgary (VCC) and their efforts to support community members in future thinking. One of the ways VCC is enabling future thinking is by the development of zines. As an Enough For All Champion we were excited to provide this creative learning opportunity to the network .
To get us grouded our lovely hosts Hafsah and Noor asked the question, ‘What does poverty mean to you?’. VCC is stewarding Calgary’s Enough For All strategy which looks at poverty reduction throughout Calgary. Reflecting on this question, allowed us to start imaging a different future, a future where everything is there. In Blackfoot, everything is there means, iih kanii tai staiiwa.
There were so many great zines that demonstrated the power of resiliency, hope and practical steps for a future where everyone has enough..
What’s Next?
