Harvest: Anti-Racism & Decolonization Resources the LAT has been finding inspiring

by Amanda Palmer

At the August Anti-Racism & Decolonization Learning and Action Team gathering we started things off by sharing a resource we’ve engaged with recently that we’ve found particularly helpful or insightful. Of note is that each of the sources of inspiration were in a different form or medium, reflective of the many ways we can learn and deepen our anti-racism and decolonization practices.

Circle Share:

  • Deep Diversities 4-hour self-directed course (with praise also for the book!)

  • Learning in action in Disability Awareness Month Planning Committee Meetings

  • Buffalo is the New Buffalo by Chelsea Vowel

  • Learning in community at a July ‘Building Safer Communities’ event

  • Buffy, a five-part CBC podcast by Falon Johnson

  • Learning in conversation at an Aboriginal Friendship Centre gathering on the White Goose Flying report

We spent the rest of our time together digging in to one of the burning questions that we harvested this summer, “What does an Anti-Racist organization look like?”.
