Ever been interested in asset mapping your neighbourhood? Here’s a short, helpful guide to get you started on your neighbourhood map! Since 2022, CDLI has been hosting various asset mapping walks in community! Whether it’s through our two- year pilot program Community Placemakers or participation with the annual Jane’s Walk festival we know a few things about facilitating asset mapping!

Asset Mapping in HillHurst Sunnyside (2022) - This process turned into a monthly walks for an entire year! Residents came together to identify assets and as resident came together frequently they connected and captured some precious perspectives and possibilities about their neighbourhood.

CDLI has hosted various Jane’s Walks in collaboration with residents from Calgary Marlborough, Mount Pleasant and Bankview.

Community Placemakes 2023, was a special opportunity for three various communities to gather and explore assets.. (Loughheed House, Glenbrook and Calgary Marlborough) it culminated in a community event hosted at Loughheed House with an expert panel. Check out the reflections here!
