July 2024 CD Practitioner Gathering Harvest - CDLI
On Wednesday, July 10th we hosted our seventh gathering for community development practitioners of 2024!
We had three discussion topics for practitioners to choose from and all 10 participants chose to engage in conversation on mutual aid and communities of care.
See our shared harvest here or in the slides below. If you see a conversation that has no notes but you are interested in it please reach out to let us know and we can include it again in a future COP date that works for you cdli@caryacalgary.ca.
In the share back participants identified key take away/points of reflection that came from the conversations on mutual aid and communities of care:
1. Cultural difference in how care is expressed.
2. Mutual aid and community care comes in all forms.
CDLI has hosted a variety of conversations about Mutual Aid and Communities of Care. These have been recorded in video, documented in notes, and/or reflected upon by CDLI staff/volunteers, etc. By using the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the CDLI website and entering “Mutual Aid” as your search criteria you can find a list of this information on the CDLI website.
CDLI looks forward to welcoming Community Development Practitioners (paid or volunteer) again on August 14th for our next Community of Practice Open Space Gathering in 2024! Dates for the year are in the graphic below.
